Here's what an install looks like when nobody's watching the details but us. π
Before this unit ever got connected, every line got purged with nitrogen while we brazed. Skip that step and you get black scale inside the copper that can chew up a TXV or reversing valve later β the kind of problem that shows up as a "mystery" breakdown a year down the road, except it's not a mystery at all.
Then comes weighing in the charge. We put the refrigerant on a scale and load it in ounce by ounce until it hits the exact number the manufacturer calls for. Today that was one pound, one ounce, dead on.
This install is a dual-fuel inverter system, and the moment it kicked on, you could tell β quiet as a mouse. We actually swapped it in to replace a unit that was running just a little loud. Problem solved.
Hot air out the top, sticker's on, and we're all set. That's what a job done right sounds like (or rather, doesn't).
