On January 19, 2026, a major aluminum mill experienced an unexpected failure of its reversing screws, forcing an immediate shutdown. Our team was contacted for emergency support and mobilized without delay.

Through round-the-clock coordination and ex*****on, we delivered a fully repaired screw and nut assembly in just 16 days from the date of failure. For perspective, the typical lead time for a new assembly of this size is approximately 32 weeks.

Now Hiring: Crane Operator (1st Shift)

Looking to get your start in industrial manufacturing? Xtek is hiring a Crane Operator for our 1st shift heat treat operation. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who wants to learn the fundamentals of heat treating while working hands-on with overhead cranes and experienced teammates.

What you’ll be doing:

- Loading and unloading furnaces from the overhead crane cab

- Assisting with furnace prep, including:

- Positioning and loading parts on fixtures

- Setting up proper lifting and handling devices

- Wrapping, painting, and protecting parts for heat treat cycles

- Supporting the Heat Treat Supervisor and Metallurgy Manager as needed

- Keeping a clean, organized workspace and helping teammates when needed

What we’re looking for:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Clear communication skills

- Willingness to learn and jump in where needed

- Ability to maintain 5S standards

- Heat treat experience is helpful, but not required

Xtek is looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility and equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, takes pride in preventive maintenance, and can confidently troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues—whether working independently or alongside a strong maintenance team.

What you’ll do:

- Inspect, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment and facility systems

- Perform routine and advanced preventive maintenance

- Lead smaller maintenance projects and support junior technicians

- Troubleshoot issues from first report through final fix

- Work with vendors and outside technicians when needed

- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation

- Support safety, quality, and environmental standards every day

What we’re looking for:

- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience

- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

- Comfort operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists
