☀️🔥 HEAT ADVISORY SAFETY REMINDER FROM TOTAL CONSTRUCTION NC LLC 🔥☀️
As temperatures rise across North Carolina, it’s important to take extra precautions to protect both people and pets from heat-related illnesses. Extreme heat can become dangerous very quickly, especially for those working outdoors.
🚧 For Our Team Members & Outdoor Workers:
✅ Drink plenty of water throughout the day—even if you don’t feel thirsty.
✅ Take frequent breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas.
✅ Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
✅ Use sunscreen and protective gear.
✅ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion: dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating, weakness, or confusion.
✅ Never push through symptoms—notify a supervisor immediately.
🐾 For Your Pets:
✅ Always provide fresh, cool water.
✅ Walk pets during early morning or evening hours.
✅ Avoid hot pavement—it can burn paw pads.
✅ Provide shade and cooling areas outdoors.
✅ Never leave pets in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.
✅ Watch for signs of heat stress: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or difficulty breathing.
⚠️ Remember: If the pavement is too hot for the back of your hand for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your pet’s paws.
At Total Construction NC LLC, safety is always our top priority—whether on the jobsite or at home with our families and furry companions.
Stay hydrated. Stay cool. Stay safe. 💙🐾🚧
