Form is headquartered in Coldwater, OH with molding and decoration equipment onsite as well as in facilities around the globe. If you're ready for a part quote or if you just have questions about us or a design you have, please send us an email or give us a call and we would be happy to help. Our designers can help tell the story of your product and brand through shape, color and graphics. Working side-by-side with our engineers and production team, we can include design elements that work in manufacturing and gives your product the look and feel you need to stand out in a crowd. We're heavily involved in some major markets, including consumer and commercial appliance, outdoor and automotive, so we have a feel for current trends and design direction. We work side-by-side with our Engineering and Production counterparts, so you know that that we can translate your creative vision to the production part. We can create 3D renders that allow you to better understand and image what the manufactured part will look like. Our team works with everything from napkin sketches to full prints. We can use our Solidworks software to create or convert 3D models to ensure nothing gets lost in translation from design to delivery. Engineers can review your parts and provide feedback on readiness for manufacturing, looking things like tolerances, draft and tooling feasibility. Let our Engineers be a part of your team! Whether its onsite or virtually, we can be an integral element of your next development effort. If you're a small business without an Engineering department or just don't feel comfortable designing parts for injection molding, we can design parts from scratch. Not sure how a part is going fit, look or feel? We can 3D print prototype parts on one of our two state-of-the-art 3D printers. Parts and can be printed and delivered in a matter of days, allowing you to quickly iterate in the design and development stage of a project. We can print in a wide range of materials, including a choice of color, transparency and durometer options to simulate how your injection mold part will look and fee. We can finish your 3D printed part with paint or water transfer graphics to give it a more realistic look. When you're ready to move from product development to production or you need a different supply chain solution, we ready to help! We can source just about any material you may need and have tool building and manufacturing options that will meet even the most demanding part and project requirements. Are you not quite ready for a quote but you have questions or need help? Ask us anything about part design, materials, finishes, or tooling via email or phone. We can also set up site visits (at your place or ours) and phone or web conferences if that's a convenient way to communicate. If you need Design, Engineering or Prototyping help, we've got you covered. We can produce preliminary pricing from a 2D drawing or even just a prototype sample and a conversation over the phone, but the most accurate pricing comes when we have the following information:
3D model - This helps us see any complex geometry and estimate the part weight. We can convert just about any file type, but ".igs" or ".stp" files typically work the best
2D drawing - This helps us understand any critical characteristics and dimensions. A ".pdf" works great for this. Material specification - Even a generic material is fine (ABS, Nylon, Polypropylene, etc), but if you know you need a specific material, please let us know. Annual volumes and order quantities - This information helps us understand the scale of the project so we can provide the most competitive quote possible. Part Finish Requirements - This could be any decoration requirements or just the surface texture the part requires. Extras - Does the part need threaded inserts, adhesive, assembly or other secondary parts or processing?

The most expensive injection molding mistakes often happen before production ever begins. A design that looks complete on a screen can contain hidden challenges that lead to costly tooling changes, production delays, and unnecessary expenses.

By partnering with our experienced injection molding team at Form Manufacturing early, you can identify potential concerns and optimize part designs to move into production with greater confidence.

In our latest blog, “Design for Manufacturing: Avoid Costly Mistakes Before Tooling,” we explore why early collaboration can save time, reduce costs, and improve long-term part performance. Read it here to learn how smarter design decisions today can ensure the success of your upcoming projects:

Testing form, fit and function has never been easier! Our 3D printing capabilities are a great tool to test your design before committing to tooling.

Prototypes are a valuable part of the design process. Our design engineers can work with everything from napkin sketches to full prints to create 3D printed renderings based on your specifications. Being able to quickly 3D print a sample of what your injection molded part will look like can be important in making design refinements, especially on a brand new part. Below is one of our in-house 3D printers that we have available. Click here to see some of the other prototyping options we offer:

Decoration works best when it's part of the design intent vs. a late add on. If a part will be decorated, it needs to be designed like it will be decorated. This seems really obvious, but it doesn't always happen!

Encourage your designers and design/CAD engineers to collaborate together early in the design process. We promise it won't limit creativity! A few early design decisions can dramatically improve finish the quality, repeatability and cost control of your finished parts.

Manufacturing excellence isn't always measured by the size of the part, but by the precision behind it. Creating a high quality part requires careful attention to mold design, material selection, process control, and consistent quality standards.

From concept to production, we're proud to help bring the products people use every day to life, one part at a time. What part can we help you bring from concept to completion?

Color matching is more technical than it looks. Material choice, surface texture, lighting conditions, and process variation all influence the final appearance. What matches on a screen, or even a sample, can drift in production if controls aren’t in place. That’s why consistent color requires:

- Defined standards
- Controlled processes
- Clear communication

Color is a promise to your customer. Keeping it takes work. Is there a part you have that color matching is imperative? Reach out for a consultation or quote:
