Peeling, bubbling, or worn-through epoxy? Before you put another coat on it, there’s one quick check worth doing. Pick up a loose piece and flip it over. What’s on the back tells you a lot about what went wrong.

Here’s how we decide between a recoat and a full removal: https://www.twhicksinc.com/blog/failing-epoxy-floor-recoat-or-remove?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=blog_recoat_or_remove

Another Maxxon Gyp-Crete® pour underway! 👷‍♂️

Our crew is hard at work installing gypsum underlayment for a multifamily apartment project. Gyp-Crete® helps create a smooth, flat surface for finished flooring while playing an important role in sound-control systems for multifamily construction.

It's the work beneath the surface that helps set the foundation for a quality finished space.

The finished floor gets the attention, but the real work starts long before installation. 💪

Proper concrete preparation is one of the most important steps in delivering a flooring system built to perform.

Our crews understand that every step matters, from preparing the surface to getting the details right before installation begins.

Take a look at the work that goes into getting a project started on the right foot.

Such a fun day supporting a great cause! ⛳️

We were happy to join Turner Construction Company for the 5th Annual Paint Houston Blue Charity Golf Classic alongside so many great industry partners.

Even better, the funds raised from the event will go right back into the Houston community to support local organizations making a difference.

Thank you to the Turner team for putting together another wonderful event. We’re grateful to have been a part of it!

How do you add code-level sound control in a renovation without raising the floor height? Go topical.

Maxxon Acousti-Top is a topical sound control mat that delivers code-compliant impact sound reduction at less than 1/16" thick - so it won't throw off door clearances or floor transitions. It loose-lays or glues down, works over concrete, gypsum, or topped wood subfloors, and is compatible with virtually all LVT/LVP, sheet vinyl, laminate, wood, tile, and carpet. Built for multifamily renovations and new concrete construction.

Sound control without the height.

Learning. Collaboration. Innovation.

The spaces where those things happen deserve flooring that's built to support them.

We're proud to share this office and training facility, featuring a seamless finish that helps create a clean, modern, and professional environment throughout the space.

Because first impressions matter. But so does long-term performance.

Planning a commercial project? We'd love to help.

There’s nothing better than getting out of the office and spending quality time with the people we’re lucky enough to work with.

We had an incredible weekend at HJ Ranch with a great group of customers, enjoying good food, plenty of laughs, time outdoors, and a little friendly competition along the way.

At T.W. Hicks, we’re grateful for the relationships behind every project. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the weekend and made it such a memorable one. We already can’t wait for the next one!
