Nearly 500 fourth grade students in Licking County, Ohio, learned about agriculture, sustainability and the importance of pollinators during the annual Fourth Grade Ag Day, with LRE's Harvey Solar project organizing the company's participation.

Hosted by the Licking County Farm Bureau at the Hartford Fairgrounds, the event featured more than 20 interactive stations introducing students to farming, food production and agriculture-related careers.

Representing LRE was Travis Snyder of Frontline Hives, an LRE partner who has established nearly 60 beehives housing approximately 3 million bees at LRE's Big Plain Solar facility in Madison County, Ohio.

Travis brought a hive box, honeycombs, a beekeeper suit, and live bees in a glass viewing caseto give students a firsthand look at pollinators and their essential role in agriculture and food production.

"LRE has been supportive of a number of Farm Bureau initiatives," said Kayla Jones, Senior Organization Director for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. "It's so important to have that connection, showing a united front from agriculture, sustainability and the community."

Through its participation in Fourth Grade Ag Day, LRE helped spark curiosity among young students and foster an early appreciation for agriculture and environmental stewardship.

Every month, up to 900 service members leave the military at Fort Hood. Their next mission? Powering America.

LRE is working with the Training Center of Central Texas (TCCT) to help veterans transition into careers in utility-scale solar. Through a technician training program developed with LRE's support, students gain industry-specific skills and visit LRE project sites each quarter, most recently Morrow Lake Solar in Frio County, Texas.

The opportunity is significant: The solar industry is projected to need 500,000 trained technicians by 2030.

LRE and GSG Wind supported the first Habitat for Humanity home built in Mendota, Illinois, in 20 years. Plant Manager Kyle Rex and GSG Wind Site Lead Cainan Shaddick also used their LRE Day of Giving to volunteer on the build, digging around the foundation, moving gravel and helping set walls.

For Kyle, who grew up in Mendota, the project was especially meaningful. It was a full-circle opportunity to give back to the community that supported him.

We’re proud to support Habitat for Humanity LaSalle-Bureau-Putnam Counties and help more families access safe, affordable places to call home.

LRE’s Mayes County Solar projects were proud to co-sponsor the pre-party for the 2026 DAM J.A.M. Bicycle Tour, a longtime northeast Oklahoma fundraiser benefiting Mayes County HOPE (Health. Outreach. Prevention. Education.)

LRE team members Jack Campbell and Eric Stoneburner joined riders, residents and local partners to share information about our solar projects and connect with the community. Proceeds from the ride support programs addressing food insecurity and youth substance misuse prevention across Mayes County.

LRE and the Ridgely Solar project in Lake County, Tennessee, are honored to receive the Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Philanthropy for 2026.

The award recognizes LRE’s support of a scholarship fund available to students across the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCAT). Funded through the LRE Foundation, the scholarship helps students gain the technical training and certifications needed to pursue rewarding careers in the skilled trades.

“Both LRE and I personally want to be good neighbors in whatever community we’re in,” said Ridgely Solar Plant Manager Matt Turner, who accepted the award from Tennessee Board of Regents Executive Director Cris Perkins. “We’re especially proud to help young men and women get started in trades which this country needs more of.”

We’re grateful to TCAT Northwest for this recognition and proud to support opportunities that benefit students, strengthen the regional workforce, and contribute to the communities in Northwest Tennessee.

LRE Foundation was recognized as a Silver-Level Ready 365 Donor by the American Red Cross North Texas Region during its 11th Annual Executive Breakfast in Plano, Texas.

Expanding clean power is vital to ensuring reliable and affordable electricity is available when Americans need it most, like during extreme heat events.

Clean Power Association launched back-to-back reports highlighting how clean power delivers low-cost, reliable electricity during heatwaves. During July heatwaves, both last year and this year, markets with higher levels of clean energy experienced substantially lower wholesale electricity prices, while regions with relatively little clean generation experienced the highest prices, despite having tens of gigawatts of clean energy waiting to connect to the grid.
