Originally constructed in the 1800s, this historic home has been transformed through a comprehensive renovation and addition. With the exterior beautifully restored and the interior spaces nearing completion, this marks our final project update before this timeless residence is complete. We’re excited to see the finished home bring new life to its historic character while providing a refreshed space for years to come.

Construction has officially kicked off at 624-626 N Main Street in Danville, Virginia. The redevelopment will transform the building into a vibrant mixed-use space, with the lower level designed for a single commercial tenant and the upper two floors converted into 6 affordable residential units. By blending historic preservation with thoughtful design, this project aims to create new opportunities for both local businesses and residents while celebrating the building’s place along North Main Street.

to the Veterans Life Center, a landmark project that was the largest CDBG-funded development in North Carolina at the time of its design and construction. Developed as a rehabilitation facility for homeless veterans, the project was completed in two phases and included residential accommodations, therapeutic and community spaces, support services, and administrative offices. Designed to provide a supportive environment for recovery and personal growth, this facility continues to stand as a meaningful example of architecture's ability to positively impact lives.

Construction is officially underway at South Boston Town Hall!

Crews are removing the old to make way for a modern, more functional space. Renovations will include a new entry and lobby, reconfigured Finance Department and teller lines, upgraded electrical and mechanical systems.

We’re excited to see this important community facility take on a new life and better serve South Boston for years to come!

Fun Fact Friday
In 1792, George Washington laid the cornerstone of the White House, marking the beginning of construction on one of America’s most recognizable buildings. Designed by James Hoban in the Neoclassical style, its symmetrical form and classical details reflect the democratic ideals and enduring strength of the young nation. Although the location of the original cornerstone remains unknown, the principles behind its design and enduring significance remain.

Exterior renovations at Draper Elementary are well underway! New windows are already being installed, with the new doors expected to follow in the next couple of weeks. We’re excited to see these improvements take shape and help preserve and enhance this important community landmark for years to come.

Every project has a beginning. Before the materials, construction, and finished spaces, there are lines on a page. Architectural drafting is where ideas take shape—turning concepts into detailed drawings that communicate how a building will look, function, and come together.

From floor plans and elevations to construction details, every line has a purpose. Drafting may happen behind the scenes, but it’s essential to bringing great design to life.

We’re excited to finally share a look at this Carriage Barn we designed back in 2023! The first floor provides functional garage space, complete with large barn doors that open toward expansive views of the surrounding field. The upstairs offers comfortable living accommodations including a bedroom, bathroom, fitness room, and an open living area with a kitchenette and dedicated office setup. It’s always rewarding to see a project move from drawings and ideas to a finished space.
