In 1976, Bob Wood founded Alpha Metal Finishing with a vision for a company built on faith, integrity, and excellence. Since 2010, that same vision has been carried forward by his son, Greg.

The finishing industry has changed significantly since 1976. But when it comes to what is most important—valuing our team and doing right by the customer—these values have been passed down from father to son and we continue to carry them forward.

A lot can change in five decades. Since Alpha Metal Finishing opened its doors in 1976, we’ve seen technology evolve, industries shift, and our facility grow. But as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, we’re most proud of what hasn’t changed.

While the tools and techniques have modernized, the core of Alpha remains exactly the same:

In November, our company received the Environmental Excellence award from Washtenaw County for Pollution Prevention. We are humbled and honored to be selected for this award.

We are extremely proud of our team for always going above and beyond when it comes to the safety and health of each other and our community.
