EEI was proud to participate in and sponsor a hole at the Jen Becht Toes in the Sand Cancer Research Fund Charity Golf Outing.

Established in loving memory of Jen Becht, the fund is dedicated to advancing cancer research and helping develop innovative treatments. 100% of donations go directly to the UPenn Cancer Research Fund, supporting important research in the fight against cancer.

It was a wonderful day of golf, camaraderie, and community support for a truly meaningful cause. EEI is honored to contribute to this effort and help make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

EEI has played an integral role throughout multiple phases of development for a new elementary school. Our involvement began with geotechnical investigations, infiltration testing, and environmental assessments. Building on these initial efforts, EEI designed the segmental retaining walls and shoring systems and performed clean fill testing.

As construction progresses, our team remains on-site, providing quality control testing and inspection services on behalf of the School District to help ensure the project’s successful completion.

We’re proud to contribute our expertise to a project that will serve students and the surrounding community for years to come!

EEI’s Dr. Jay McKelvey will be teaching a full day short course entitled Static and Pseudo-Static Analyses for Natural and Man-Made Slopes with Dr. Tim Stark of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign at the upcoming Geo-Virginia conference in October. The course will discuss 2D and 3D slope stability methods, types of drained and undrained shear strengths of soils and slope stabilization techniques. Numerous case histories will also be presented.

The Committee to Benefit the Children has been improving the lives of children battling cancer and other life-threatening blood disorders, along with their families, for more than four decades through its partnership with St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. This annual golf outing continues to be a cornerstone of that important mission.
