This is exactly what we believe a service call should be about—not just fixing what’s immediately obvious, but understanding why the system got there in the first place.
When we opened the ductwork and found the damage was more extensive than originally expected, we took the time to correct it properly. The same went for the wiring issues. HVAC systems are interconnected, and sometimes the symptoms don't tell the whole story. That's why we believe in testing, documenting, asking questions, and, when necessary, going back to the manufacturer to verify what we're seeing.
The job ultimately took much longer than anticipated, but we honored the original flat-rate price. The customer shouldn't pay extra because we underestimated how much work the system actually needed.
Most importantly, thank you for recognizing the attention to detail. We don't believe in following a recipe or throwing parts at a problem. We believe in finding the root cause and doing the job right.
