APi HVAC Services had a great day at the Minnesota State Fair!

Team members from APi HVAC Services, APi Group, NAC and Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors, Inc.came together to volunteer at Kemps Little Farm Hands—supporting one of the Fair’s most popular family attractions while giving back to the community.

The group also had the chance to surprise MMC’s own Jim Miller and support his Potluck String Band during their performance earlier in the day.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, represented our companies so well, and helped make the day a memorable one. It was a great example of the teamwork and community spirit that connects us across the APi Group family of companies.

Each month at MMC, our Construction team highlights teammates who are making an exceptional impact. This month, we are proud to recognize Carter Johnson for his work facilitating the conversion from ToolWatch to One-Key!

Carter spent significant time mapping data fields between the two programs to help retain as much historic data as possible. He also took ownership of learning One-Key and helped guide the program’s setup.

A big shoutout to Don, Janelle, and George for working through several iterations of trial and error to get the new program up and running.

MMC was proud to attend the ribbon-cutting celebration for the Richard M. Schulze Surgical & Critical Care Center at Allina Health Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

This milestone represents years of thoughtful planning, construction, and collaboration. MMC is proud to have supported the broader Abbott Northwestern campus through central plant, skyway, and enabling work—helping maintain the reliable cooling and power systems needed to keep the hospital operational throughout this major campus transformation.

As a longtime anchor in the Phillips neighborhood, Abbott Northwestern and its project partners prioritized creating a positive impact beyond the hospital. This included directing approximately 20–30% of project work to local, small, and minority-owned businesses, as well as thoughtfully positioning the 10-story building to minimize shadows on a nearby school and ball field.

The new center will also bring advanced medical technologies to Minneapolis, supporting the future of surgical and critical care in our community.

Congratulations to Allina Health, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Mortenson, and the many partners who helped bring this important project to life. The center is expected to begin serving patients in late August 2026.

Stepping up when it mattered most.

Recently, an elderly woman suffered a serious fall at one of our job sites. Without hesitation, Anderson and Jeff Mannie rushed to help, called 911, and remained by her side until emergency responders arrived.

Jeff and Jeff did more than respond quickly. They stayed calm, offered reassurance, and supported her throughout an incredibly painful and frightening experience.

Following the incident, both the facility manager and the woman’s daughter reached out to express their gratitude. Her daughter shared that her mother continues to talk about how kind and caring Jeff and Jeff were—and how safe they made her feel during such a difficult moment.

This is what living our values looks like. It means looking out for others, taking action when help is needed, and leading with compassion—whether we are supporting a teammate, a customer, or someone in the community. Our values are reflected not only in the work we perform, but also in how we treat people and show up when it matters most.

Thank you, Jeff and Jeff, for stepping up without hesitation and demonstrating genuine care when someone needed it most. Your actions are a powerful reminder that compassion, integrity, and teamwork can make a lasting difference.
