🚨 Record Breaking EL NINO looks likely! 🚨

The latest sea surface temperatures and model outputs point to the potential for the strongest El Nino on record occurring later this year! This will have impacts on the weather patterns across the world and here in the United States for the fall and winter.

The current El Nino is stronger at this point of the year than in any year before now that we have data for. 1997 was one of the strongest El Nino’s on record, but this year is even warmer.

El Nino winters usually spark a more active subtropical jet stream that causes above average storms and rain across much of the southern U.S. from California to Florida. Along with more active jet stream and more rain, El Nino winters are usually colder in the southern U.S. meaning greater chances for snow/ice events in the south.

SUPER EL NIÑO📈the updated ECMWF System 5 outlook is out and showing an even stronger El Niño developing late this fall into the winter with every single ensemble member now showing an exceptionally strong El Niño! All members of this plume reach +3.5-4.5°C+ late this fall and winter. The El Niño this winter has a high probability of being the strongest ever recorded [in 150-years - modern observational era], surpassing the 1997–98 and 2015–16 events. We will likely peak around 4.0°C in December. This output isn't erroneous - the current evolution of the equatorial Pacific Ocean's sea-surface temperatures, when compared to previous events, support this. Significant impacts likely on the weather patterns this Hurricane, Monsoon and Fire Season, continuing through the Fall and Winter into the severe weather season📈

Were hearing a lot about EL Nino, here is an interesting article.

An unusually intense El Niño event is gathering strength in the tropical Pacific in a hurry. It is poised to break records for its intensity and is already starting to influence global weather patterns. That means forecasters are getting more confident in predicting how it will affect different parts of the globe during the next one to two years. https://cnn.it/4fV2awR
