Today, we remember.
We honor the men and women who gave everything in service to our country and the freedoms we carry forward each day.
This Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude and remembrance.

Meet Blayke! 👷🏻‍♂️

Blayke has been with FLP for about a year and a half and in that time has rose from a Laborer to Assistant Project Manager! He’s currently leading his first project as a PM at the Grand Forks International Airport on the new UND Aerospace Flight Operations Center and enjoys the front-row seat to the planes coming in while progress takes shape around him.

He describes FLP in one word: dedicated. For Blayke, one of the best parts of the job is the team around him. “Knowing I have a good team” is what keeps him motivated! And one of the most rewarding parts of construction for him is knowing the work helps the community.

Originally from Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Blayke describes himself as respectful, professional, and hardworking. Before construction, he dreamed of joining the military, and today he brings that same discipline and commitment to the jobsite. Outside of work, he’s a hockey and golf fan, and if he could host any TV show, he says it would be American Ninja Warrior. If he could travel anywhere tomorrow, he’d head straight to Scottsdale, Arizona.

We’re glad to have Blayke on the team and look forward to seeing where his dedication takes him next!

Thanks for all that you do, Blayke! 💪

Framing is climbing fast at the new UND Flight Operations Center!
This 28,500 sq. ft. building is designed to support learning, collaboration, and innovation in aviation with:

- 27 staff offices
- 36 learning spaces
- One-of-a-kind event space
- A grand lounge for connection and collaboration

We are looking forward to finishing this project so the future students, staff, and community can take advantage of everything it has to offer!

A huge milestone for Fargo and the continued growth of our region. From improved travel experiences to long-term community impact, it’s exciting to see this phase of the project officially open. We’re thankful to have partnered with McGough on such a meaningful project.👏🏻

Happy National Skilled Trades Day 👷🏼🔧

Today is about the craft — the skill, discipline, and pride in every detail. At FLP, we stand behind our team that brings that standard to every job, every day. That’s what sets the work apart.

To our team and tradespeople everywhere — we see your work, and it matters. Thank you for all you do.

The small moments matter.

A second look.
A quick callout.
A teammate paying attention.

That’s what "Recognize. Respond. Respect." looks like on our jobsites. Not a checklist but a mindset.

In honor of Apprenticeship Week, we’re excited to introduce our 2025 apprentices — Chad, Lincoln, Nick, and Carl.

They’ve already tackled some of the biggest projects at FLP. Every one of them brings something different to the crew, and we’re glad to have them here!

We’re proud to have them on our team. Keep up the good work!

In honor of Apprenticeship Week, we want to give a shoutout to our class of 2024 apprentices — Oscar, Erik, Francisco, and Travis.

They’ve put in the time (and then some!), taken on the challenges, and grown a lot over the years. It’s been fun watching them grow with the team and in their skills on the job.

With graduation to Journeyman right around the corner, we’re excited to see what’s next for each of them!

Happy National Apprenticeship Week! 👷🏼

They’re learning fast, working hard, and earning it every day. 💪
Our apprentices are gaining real experience on real job sites, building skills that last, and putting in the work behind the scenes in our hands-on classroom setting.

We’re proud of the work they’re putting in and the standard they’re growing into.

Meet Erik!👷🏼

Some people show up and do the job. Erik shows up, takes on the challenge, and then raises his hand for the next one. He began as a Laborer and, in just over two years, has advanced into a leadership role focused on safety — now helping oversee a large-scale data center project in southern ND. His mindset is simple but powerful: “Keep 200 people safe. I’m there for whatever they need.”

Erik describes FLP in one word: progress. It’s a smaller company that can take on big-time projects, and where people who are willing to learn and step up can grow fast.

What motivates him every day is his crew and making sure they are safe. Erik credits the strong support from the office team as one of the best parts of working at FLP.

Originally from El Paso, Texas, Erik describes himself as responsible, direct, and charismatic — and it shows! He grew up wanting to work in construction, and now he’s fully in it, building a career while continuing to push himself forward. Outside of work, he keeps it simple: tacos are his go-to, and if he ever hit the jackpot, the first move would be buying his mom the biggest house possible. If he had to survive on a deserted island? Unlimited water, his girlfriend, and a Dr. Pepper — priorities handled!

Thank you Erik for all your hard work and dedication to keeping our team safe! 👏🏻
