Another cool home, another happy Viking customer! ❄️🔧

Preston ourViking crew just finished a brand new AC install in Escondido, and this family couldn't be more excited about their new system.

After a brutal, hot summer with a broken AC, they knew it was time for an upgrade. They talked to a few other AC companies before deciding to go with Viking and AC Pro and we're so glad they did.

Here's what they told us: "They were so professional. They made us feel so confident." "Super professional, install was fast." "This company is top notch through and through."

Now the real challenge begins, the classic thermostat debate over how cold the house should be. We can't settle that one, but we can make sure the system running it is dependable, efficient, and built to last.

This week, Viking Cooling and Heating had the honor of sponsoring a back-to-school backpack drive in San Marcos alongside The Movement Church.

While we were out there, Pat summed it up perfectly: "We're not just in the city, we're for the city." That's the heart behind this event, called For the Neighbors — bringing real solutions to real needs for families right here in our community.

Going back to school is a big deal, but it isn't always easy for every family to manage. The Movement Church brought together community partners to help, and we were glad to step in alongside them — loving on families, feeding them, and making sure kids have the supplies they need to start the school year strong.

Here's what the day added up to: 🎒 250+ backpacks filled with school supplies 📚 250+ free books 💇 60+ free haircuts 🌮 300 free tacos 🐔 100 free Chick-fil-A sandwiches 🧒 Support and resources for more than 300 kids 🙌 70 incredible volunteers serving our community

This is exactly what our core values look like when they're put into action: our coworkers showing up for a cause, our community being cared for, and our company living out what it means to be more than just the HVAC company you call when your AC breaks down.

A huge thank you to The Movement Church for having us out and for all the work they do for families in San Marcos. It's been awesome to be part of it!

🎂🔥 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR FEARLESS LEADER, CASEY MCQUOWN! ❄️🎉

Another trip around the sun for the man who has never once given us a full paragraph of direction and somehow we've never needed one. 😂

Casey doesn't do pep talks. Casey does one-liners. Four words, dead silence, and somehow the whole team knows exactly what to do. It's less "management style" and more "HVAC whisperer meets fortune cookie." 🥠

While the rest of us are out there fighting the daily battle of heating and air chasing down stubborn furnaces, negotiating with temperamental AC units, and sweating through San Diego summer, Casey's out here staying cooler than our top-of-the-line units. Ironic for a guy who sells air conditioning, but here we are.

So today we're cranking the appreciation up to high and the jokes up to full blast: thank you, Casey, for the leadership, the guidance, and the one-liners we still quote in the break room. 🙌

Viking Cooling and Heating has partnered with Lennox for our Feel the Love program, and this year we're giving away one brand new furnace and AC system to someone right here in San Diego.

We're looking for nominations. Maybe there's an elderly person whose system just gave out and they can't afford to replace it. Or a family who's fallen on hard times and is stuck with a broken system they can't fix. That's exactly who Feel the Love is for.

🎬 Everybody, let's give it up for Fernando Elizarraraz! 🎬

The man behind the camera, the master of the edit, the reason our content actually looks good instead of looking like it was shot on a potato. Fernando keeps every video tight, every cut clean, and somehow makes the rest of us look like we know what we're doing on screen.

When he's not making magic happen in post-production, he's running warehouse and inventory like a general... nothing gets lost, nothing gets misplaced, the man has eyes everywhere.

And let's be real... the reason Fernando's always behind the camera and not in front of it? He's got a face for radio and a voice for silent film. 😂 But hey, that's exactly why the rest of us get to be the "talent" while he does the actual hard work making us look good.

Quick one for the homeowners 👇

If your air filter looks anything like the one on the right, your AC is working way harder than it needs to—and it's costing you money every single month.

Here's what happens when a filter gets that dirty:
🔸 Your system has to work overtime just to push air through
🔸 That extra strain can cause overheating and frozen coils
🔸 Your energy bill quietly creeps up
🔸 And eventually? A full system failure, usually on the hottest day of the year (Murphy's Law, right?)

The fix is honestly the easiest thing you can do for your HVAC: swap your filter every 3-6 months. If you've got pets, live somewhere dusty, or run your AC hard, lean toward the 3-month side.
