We are proud to support local initiatives that help introduce the next generation to the skilled trades and show young people the rewarding career opportunities available in the HVAC industry.

We’re especially proud of Isak Waktola, one of our own team members, who is representing the HVAC trade at the career fair and helping educate the next generation through his role as an instructor in the apprenticeship program with the Association of Air Conditioning Professionals (AACP).

Having one of our team members not only working in the trade, but also taking the time to teach, mentor, and inspire future HVAC professionals is something we are extremely proud of.

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds us why we do what we do.

One of our lead technicians arrived at his last service call of the day to find a family without air conditioning during the heat and humidity. Everyone in the home was uncomfortable, and it was clear they were counting on us to help.

After hours of diagnosing and repairing the system, he was able to get their A/C back up and running. Seeing the relief on the family's faces made every minute worthwhile.

Before leaving, the family's young daughter stopped him and said, "You're not allowed to leave until I give you something." She disappeared into another room and returned with a handmade 3D paper heart that read, "Thank you for fixing it."

Later that evening, our technician emailed the photo to our office with a simple message:

"This is the best tip I have ever received. It makes me feel appreciated and reminds me how much of a difference we make."

At James A. Wheat & Sons, we know we're in the business of heating and air conditioning—but moments like these remind us that we're really in the business of helping people.

To the wonderful family who shared this thoughtful gift, thank you. Your kindness means more than you know, and we're grateful you trusted us to restore your comfort. ❤️

🇺🇸 As we head into the Fourth of July... 🇺🇸

With temperatures expected to be HOT this week, our entire team will be all hands on deck, working hard to keep our customers cool, comfortable, and taken care of when they need us most.

Because we know this week will be a busy one for our technicians and office staff, we wanted to take a moment now to wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day. It was important to us that we didn't let the opportunity pass without saying thank you.

As a family-owned and operated business, we're incredibly grateful for the trust you've placed in our family over the years. We also want to recognize and thank the men and women who have served our country and made the freedoms we enjoy possible.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our country. 🇺🇸
