The amount of work it took to get this window placement just right was tremendous. Everything had to be accounted for down to the fraction of an inch during the demo and framing phase. The masonry exterior wall created a much deeper window sill than usual, but it works great here! It gave us room to install pop up outlets on the left and right of the sink. The solid reclaimed beams in the breakfast area really make the space.

Welcome to our Chadds Ford, PA first floor renovation. We opened up numerous walls to create a very open feel in this 120 year old farm house. We removed 5 load bearing walls and restructured the first floor to create a much more usable space for this family of 8.

Demo and structural framing are now complete on our Chadds Ford renovation. The original home is 100 years old and has had numerous additions and renovations over the years. This has been a challenge to make 3 old rooms flow as 1 big kitchen and living room. Ceiling and floor elevations were slightly different and we have to make it look as if it was always this open.
