Last week we completed a tower foundation in Lewisberry, PA.
The site was on top of a mountain, and based on the geotechnical information we expected a significant amount of rock. The foundation was 78" in diameter and 19.5' deep, with approximately 11.5' of rock. Fortunately, the rock cut exceptionally well.
What we anticipated would take several days to drill was completed in a single day. We started the project Monday and originally planned to pour concrete Friday. Instead, the foundation was ready to pour by Wednesday. The only reason it wasn't poured Tuesday was because we couldn't move the inspection schedule up that quickly.
A great job by the crew staying efficient and keeping the project moving. Sometimes everything just comes together the way you hope it will.
