Furnace Installation 101
System types, sizing, efficiency, cost. If you have questions about a new furnace install, you’re not alone. Here at GRmetro, we’ve heard them all (almost) and are always happy to help. Here’s just a few FAQs:
How do I know when I need a new furnace?
Older furnaces often struggle to heat consistently, make unusual noises or cause higher energy bills. If your system is 15–20 years old, it might be more expensive to repair than replace.
What size do I need?
The “right” size isn’t the biggest one you can find. It’s the one that’s properly matched to your home’s square footage, insulation, ductwork and climate.
What’s the difference between furnace types?
Gas vs electric vs high-efficiency models all have pros and cons. Your choice depends on your home, utility costs and performance expectations.
Will a new furnace save me money?
Yes. Newer furnaces are more efficient, meaning lower heating costs and better performance.
Should I call GRmetro?
Absolutely. We're Google Guaranteed, offer rebates on certain ENERGY STAR products and have great warranties for labor and installations. Financing? Yep, we have that too.
