What an outstanding experience at the 2026 IWDC Sales & Purchasing Convention in Louisville, KY!

EQUIGAS was proud to sponsor this year’s event and connect with so many IWDC members, customers, suppliers, and industry partners. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth during the Vendor Booth Program. We truly appreciate your time, conversations, support, and continued trust in EQUIGAS.

Congratulations to Frank Kasnick, Chris Stout, Jessica Keck, Jennifer Carney, and the entire Independent Welding Distributors Cooperative team for delivering such a successful convention.

We are proud to support the continued growth and success of IWDC, which now represents 138 member companies, 882 locations, and $4.2 billion in annual sales.

The educational sessions and keynote presentations provided valuable takeaways on sales culture, purchasing strategies, inventory management, and customer success. The in Oklahoma City has come to an end. It was great to reconnect with friends, customers, suppliers, industry leaders, and fellow GAWDA members while participating in an event filled with exceptional content, keynote speakers, educational sessions, and memorable networking opportunities.

This year’s conference welcomed:

• 450 Supplier Representatives
• 700 attendees, including families and guests

Last week, we proudly celebrated EQUIGAS’ 9th Anniversary and another incredible Milestone, surrounded by Happiness, Gratitude, Teamwork, and of course… lots of Great Food. As tradition calls, we prepared our famous EQUIGAS Surf-N-Turf Low Country Boil, a dish that has become part of our company culture and family spirit. And of course, our famous EquiDogs!!!

We also had the honor of sharing this special moment with some of our valued industry partners, including some freight companies such as Old Dominion Freight Line and UPS, that work tirelessly every day to help us deliver products safely and rapidly to our customers across the nation. Their commitment is part of our success story.

During the celebration, we reflected on where it all began 9 years ago: No inventory, no shelves, no office furniture, and not a single customer. What we did have was Vision, Passion, Faith, Determination, and an Unstoppable Commitment to serving our Customers and taking care of our People.

We also spoke about our future, our goals for next year, the next 5 years, and the next 10 years. Today, we are proud to be leading the Cryogenic Equipment Distribution industry in the United States, and we could not feel more Blessed, Humbled, and Proud of everything our Team has accomplished together.

Most importantly, this celebration reminded us that our greatest strength is our people. None of this would be possible without the dedication, passion, hard work, and commitment of our incredible EQUIGAS family.

And yes… we are already planning next year’s celebration. It’s going to be HUGE.

The 2026 Annual Meeting of the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) ended successfully in the beautiful city of Savannah, GA. It was a powerful reminder of what makes our industry exceptional; collaboration, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to SAFETY.

My sincere congratulations to CGA for delivering another outstanding event, with over 400 attendees actively engaged. Special recognition to Rich Gottwald, Laura Brumsey, CAE, SES-CSP, and the entire CGA team for their exceptional organization and leadership.

CGA’s mission, to promote safe, secure, and environmentally responsible practices across the manufacture, transportation, storage, transfilling, and disposal of gases and their containers, continues to be driven forward by an extraordinary group of industry professionals. The level of expertise, dedication, and volunteer commitment across the technical committees is truly Remarkable.

A highlight of this year’s meeting was the continued growth of the Young & Emerging Professionals (YEP) initiative, along with the CGA-NEXT program. These efforts are strengthening mentorship, expanding networking opportunities, and cultivating the next generation of leaders actively contributing across technical committees.

We also celebrate Bob Roberts , CEO of Roberts Oxygen Company, who was honored with the 2026 H. Emerson Thomas Lifetime Service Award, recognizing 45 years of extraordinary leadership and lasting impact on both CGA and the Industrial Gas Industry.

Another major milestone is the modernization of the CGA Handbook of Compressed Gases. Now fully digital as of January 2026, the platform features over 70 gas monographs and 20+ chapters, with enhanced search capabilities, seamless navigation, and direct integration with CGA publications and external resources, setting a new standard for accessibility and continuous improvement.

We look forward to continuing this momentum at next year’s CGA Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.

The 2026 AIWD Buying Group Annual Convention was a great success!

This year’s gathering of independent welding distributors packed an incredible amount of fun, education, and networking into just a few short days. We kicked things off with an unforgettable airboat tour through the Everglades. (Fun fact: South Florida is the only place where American alligators and American crocodiles coexist in the wild.)

The next day, we hit the golf course at Trump National Doral, Miami, just ahead of the Cadillac Championship. Always a neat experiance to run into PGA TOUR pros at the venue!

On Sunday, we got to experience the energy and flavor of Cuban culture with a walking tour through Little Havana, complete with empanadas, Cuban coffee, and ci**rs before heading into the opening reception.

The following day was filled with valuable member and vendor connections through the speed-networking sessions, vendor booths, open contact booth, and reception. And the closing reception was one to remember! Hand-rolled ci**rs, rum tastings, whole Cuban pigs, and a live salsa band made for an unforgettable finale.

EQUIGAS, Inc. loves supporting this event and the opportunity it creates to connect, learn, and celebrate our industry. A huge thank you to Kelly Horton, Diane Calhoun, and everyone who helped make this year’s convention such a success.

Another successful National Propane Gas Association Expo in the books. EQUIGAS, Inc. has been showing up and supporting this incredible industry event for almost 40 years!

This year in Nashville brought together thousands of propane professionals and a strong lineup of exhibitors, creating a great environment to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and stay aligned on where the industry is heading.

Always a highlight reconnecting with familiar faces and building new relationships along the way.

Already looking forward to coming back to the Music City!
