What an incredible GAWDA Central Regional at the University of Notre Dame!
A huge thank-you to Bob Ranc and Mike Roach for hosting such a valuable and exciting event. This yearโs gathering was especially meaningful as Bob concluded an amazing 22-year run of hosting the Central Regional. His dedication and service have made a lasting impact on GAWDA and our entire industry.
The event kicked off with two GAWDA Young Professionals workshop tracks focused on sales and operations. Paul Pflieger of the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) led the operations session, speaking on the many benefits of the CGA and why everyone should be involved. Meanwhile, the great Jack Butler of Butler Gas Products Company spewed his +55 years of wisdom in the industry onto the next generation and why this industry truly is the โHotel Californiaโ: once you enter, you never want to leave!
Following a fantastic reception and dinner, GAWDA Past President Eric Wood delivered GAWDA Update. We then heard from two outstanding speakers: Nate Bowman, aka the Weld Scientist, and Jake Brown of Hypertherm Associates. Each session offered valuable insights, fresh perspectives, and plenty of energy.
The event wrapped up with a beautiful day of golf at Blackthorn Golf Club; a perfect setting, with great weather, amazing views, and even better company.
