We are hiring for an Erosion Control Foreman. The right candidate will:
Possess knowledge of erosion control principles and equipment operation.
Demonstrate forward-thinking and strong planning skills.
Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills.
Be able to work outdoors in various conditions and lift heavy materials.
Have a strong ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
Ensure proper clean-up of job site.
Report daily progress to Superintendent.
Care about job and top-quality standards.
Ensure proper installation of erosion control devices (hydroseeding, matting, etc.)
Have basic knowledge of construction plans and square footage calculations.
Be willing to learn basic Spanish or use Google Translate to communicate with the team.
Must have a license to drive. CDL would be a plus.

Are you an experienced leader who enjoys working outdoors? SEC Construction is a trusted grading company that has served the Upstate, SC for over 17 years. We are growing our team and we are looking for an Erosion Control Crew Leader. As a Crew Leader, you will oversee a 3-to-6-person crew and be responsible for performing and managing tasks such as hydroseeding, straw matting, etc. This is a physically active, hands-on leadership position that requires strong time management and teamwork. It’s rare, in this line of work, to have the majority of us under one roof. Yesterday we were lucky enough to have over 150 co-workers, suppliers, and clients alike eating, laughing, and fellowshipping. We were missing a few crews as they were getting rain ready and putting stone down to ensure, as a whole, we never skip a beat.

This year has had its share of challenges, but looking around that room & knowing what each and every one of y’all do daily for SEC put in perspective just how blessed and thankful we are. Nothing is possible without you guys!

We just wanted to take a minute to brag on every single SEC Construction Company employee! To those on FB and those who aren't, THANK YOU! Even with the devastating rains we endured mid August and the invasive army worms, you guys have successfully got 3 jobs stoned AND paved, put in creek crossings, ponds, a boat load of storm drain and wet utilities installed, padded out some of the most beautiful lots you'll ever see, and hydroseeded your butts off to ensure it all stays just as pretty! We cant express how proud of each and every one of you we are, and are so lucky to have you. You guys are what makes the world go round'.
