Big things are taking shape at our Columbia plant! The bases for our new washers arrived this week, and our maintenance team has been out on the floor with tape measures and floor plans, getting every detail right. Thank you to our whole crew for keeping linen moving to our customers while this work goes on. We’re proud to be growing right here in Tyrrell County. For years, if a customer wanted to see an invoice or check on their account, they had to call us. Then they had to catch someone who could answer.

This year we started rolling out customer portals and online payment. Customers can pull up their account information and pay when it suits them, without waiting on a phone call.

We haven't moved everyone over yet. But the customers who are on it have told us they like it, and that's the feedback that matters.

Our takeaway: a lot of what feels like good service is really just access. Most people don't want to call. They want the answer in front of them.

If you run a service business, look at what customers call you about most. Some of those calls are questions they'd rather answer themselves, if you give them the tools.

🌊 Nor'easter update from the Whitecap team

A long-duration coastal storm is setting up off our coast this weekend and could linger into next week. Hatteras Island is under a state of emergency, NC 12 is expected to see overwash, and flooding is possible along the Pamlico Sound and Neuse River.

This is home for us. Our team lives here, and our customers are our neighbors.

What we're doing:
✅ Watching NC 12 and ferry conditions route by route
✅ Getting deliveries out ahead of the worst of it where we can
✅ Calling you directly if a delivery has to move

Before next season, count what you have and pull anything stained, thin or frayed. It's easier to rebuild your stock now than in May when every rental is turning over.
