Now THAT is scary... a re-crimped hose!
Re-crimping an existing hose assembly does not safely restore it. The fitting and hose have already been permanently compressed during the original crimp. Crimping them again can damage the ferrule, weaken the hose reinforcement, and create an unreliable connection that may fail under pressure.
If a hose assembly is leaking, loose, damaged, or improperly crimped, replace the complete assembly using compatible hose and fittings manufactured and crimped to the correct specifications.
Never attempt to re-crimp a pressurized hose. Shut down the equipment, relieve all stored pressure, and have the assembly replaced by a trained professional.
