🚧 Public Safety Training Center Tactical Village – Construction Update 🚧
We’re proud to share progress on the development of the Public Safety Training Center Tactical Village at 18350 Public Safety Place!
Phase I is well underway and includes a fire training tower set to be operational this summer. Phase I includes major site work such as installation of utilities, construction of a vehicle maneuvering and driving course, and a vehicle extrication area—expected to be completed this fall.
Planning is already in motion for Phase II! The next phase will expand training capabilities with features like a pump pad/drafting pit, drone flying area, canine training facility, fitness trail, and multiple training buildings to support classroom instruction and hands-on exercises.
Future phases will bring even more advanced, real-world training environments, including simulated businesses, residential structures, and additional support facilities. This facility ensures that our first responders are able to train for real world situations in a safe, controlled environment.
A special thank you to our Board of County Commissioners for their continued support and for providing the resources to bring this project to life. This project represents a major investment in training and preparedness for our first responders. Thank you to our partners and the community for your continued support as we build this state-of-the-art facility!
Edited: thank you to C. William Hetzer, Inc. , who was awarded the contract to complete the site work and help bring this project to life!
