Cooling season is here - at least for a few days, test run!☀️❄️

A few quick tips to get the most out of your air conditioning this summer:

• Set it and forget it — air conditioning works best maintaining a temperature instead of constantly being turned on and off

• Don’t crank it to 60° hoping it cools faster!!

• Keep interior doors open when possible to help air move through the house

• Clean your filters regularly (usually once a month during heavy use) for better airflow and efficiency

• Keep outdoor units free of weeds, grass, and debris for best performance

If your system isn’t keeping up, making weird noises, or hasn’t been cleaned in a while, give Bird Dog HVAC a call before the real heat hits 👍🏻

We are big fans of old houses at Bird Dog HVAC! John and Vanessa have spent the last few years restoring an old Victorian home, and are no strangers to the charm of old houses.

When our friends wanted to find a way to make their old house more comfortable year round, John was happy to brainstorm with them and come up with the perfect solution.

John replaced the fuel oil furnace for a high efficiency gas furnace with a heat pump to provide central air in the warm summer months, and help save on fuel costs in the shoulder seasons.

❄️ Cold weather incoming! ❄️

As you prep for the forecasted cold temps and snow, here are a few helpful tips from your local HVAC guy:

⭐️ Heat with propane or fuel oil? Make sure you have enough in the tank

⭐️ If your unit has filters, make sure they’ve been changed within the last month

⭐️ Keep an eye on the vent for your heating system - make sure to clear any snow that may pile up near it

🏆 Employee of the Year Announcement! 🏆

Bird Dog HVAC is proud to announce that John has earned the prestigious title of Employee of the Year! (The competition was tough, but he clearly outperformed… himself.)

As a reward for being employee of the year, John has won an all-expenses-paid hunting trip to Colorado with his wife.

📌 He will be out of the office until November 19th, and will respond to all calls, texts, and emails upon his return.
