The Barndo world is booming and everyone is a certified builder in this market . Beware …
Not everyone knows the best kits to offer , not everyone knows the differences in the kit designs, functionality, cost difference, and overall longevity of the builds . Just because your a builder and have a license doesn’t mean your a Barndo builder and you have the knowledge to provide the best build for your customer . These are not cookie cutter homes . They don’t always have the same foot print or same elevations or wall heights . There is alot that goes into providing the best design ,kit and finished interior for that dream home !

The big boom 💥, is let’s a build a Barndo and its cheep ! That couldn’t be more from the truth . I have been building these kits for the last five years , we started offering the special services for this market after building our own personal homes . Both of which are two different designs and kits styles . Since that time I have spent countless hours, days and months researching , talking with and working with different vendors . I haven taken hundreds of calls and advise people on the logistics from start to finish on there style builds and most never call back ? Why mostly like any other industry they are just shopping and looking for free advise . I have learned that time is always a cost measurement and we are always willing to help a few consultants at the beginning but then we just move into getting into contract talks to move forward . This practice is only fair for both sides . The buidling aspect of the Barndo home is a custom home simply as that . Where things are different is what makes it custom ? What type metal are you using . What type framing and trusses are you using ? What type porches are you buidling stick built , timber frame . Maybe using cypress or Douglas fur and knowing which is best for your area and climate . What type roof system are you installing ? What type insulation are you using spray foams, maybe rock wool ?

Then let’s talk about what’s in your kit ? Is this just a shell ? Or does it include interior wall framing package ? What about windows and doors ? Are they good quality or just stock and cheep ?

Last but probably one of the most important things is do you have plans ? Do they come with a full set that can be used for permits ? Are they an Architectural style print or have they been stamped by an engineer in your state ? You must know which is best and how to acquire these and present them in your counties inspection depts . All these things are just the tip of the ice berg to buidling a Barndo . . If your serious about buidling and looking for a builder who can provide you the necessary knowledge , experience, cost effective kit designs and overall just shoot your straight from the beginning ? Then let’s get started on that Dream Barndo 🪚🔨🏠
