In honor of National Nut Day, let’s talk about a question that comes up often in fabrication: Should your assembly be welded or bolted?

Rooftop HVAC units can last around 20 years. During that time, equipment footprints, supply and return openings, and mounting requirements can all change.

There are plenty of reasons to love stainless steel. It looks sharp, it’s strong, and it’s easy to clean and sanitize.

Stainless steel contains at least 10.5% chromium. When chromium reacts with oxygen, it creates a thin, protective oxide layer on the surface. Even better? If that layer is damaged, it can naturally reform—as long as sufficient oxygen is available.

What do bollards and icebergs have in common?

There’s a lot more going on below the surface than meets the eye.

For maximum impact resistance, fixed bollards are typically embedded in concrete foundations approximately three to four feet deep. That hidden depth helps distribute impact forces and keep the bollard firmly in place.
