Microchipping is one of the simplest and most effective ways to help lost pets find their way home. In fact, pets with microchips are significantly more likely to be reunited with their families if they ever go missing.

That’s why our rescue partner, Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), ensures every adopted dog, cat, and rabbit is microchipped and registered through 24PetWatch, a national pet recovery program. If a lost pet is found, the microchip can be scanned at most veterinary clinics and animal shelters to help reconnect them with their family. Even better, CAP offers microchipping services to the public, making it easy to give your pet an extra layer of protection.

This month, take a few minutes to confirm your pet is microchipped and that your contact information is up to date. It’s a small step that can make a life-changing difference.

PugHearts operates entirely through dedicated volunteers who transport dogs, assist with medical care, process adoptions, and provide safe, loving foster homes. Every dog lives in a private foster home, where they learn to thrive as part of a family before moving on to their forever home.
