Take Your Child to Work Day hits a little different in the welding world.

At Reaves Welding, it looks like early mornings, real tools, and learning a trade the right way—hands on. Lincoln (son of GM Quenton Champ) is already working toward a welding apprenticeship, putting in the time and learning what it takes.

And here’s the kicker—he’s also the mind behind Texas Boot Brush. (https://texasbootbrush.com/). The idea started on the soccer field, when he got tired of dealing with constantly dirty cleats and decided to build a better solution.

That’s how this industry grows: Not just taught… earned.

This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating what really holds Reaves Welding together—people.

We’re excited to welcome two talented lady welders to the team, including one who makes it a true family affair as the wife of one of our own.

And that’s not all… we’re also proud to have a father–son duo working side by side in the shop. Generations of skill, hard work, and pride—under one roof.

Because at the end of the day, building steel is important. Building a team like this? That’s what we love.

🦃 Today was a good one at Reaves Welding — Quenton surprised the team with Thanksgiving turkeys, and the smiles said it all. We’re grateful for the hard work this crew puts in day after day, and it’s always nice to send everyone home with a little extra for the holiday table. 🦃

As we head into the week, here’s our Thanksgiving schedule:

• Office: Limited hours Monday–Wednesday
• Shop: Closed all week
• Both office & shop: Closed Thursday–Friday for the holiday
