It is our honor to highlight one of our JBS employees, Jeff Wilson, and his wife, Rachael Wilson, for their contribution to our community during this worldwide crisis. In mid to late March, Rachael Wilson, a 5th and 6th grade teacher at Holy Family School, brought home the school’s 3D printer for her lessons pertaining to math and science. Upon viewing Huntsville engineer Destin Sandlin’s video explaining the idea behind the Face Shield / 3D Printing Collaboration (https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=t-01gQS6AKU&feature=emb_title), the Wilsons immediately took part. In his video, Sandlin calls for anyone with a 3D printer in the Tennessee Valley area to consider signing up for the movement in order to advance the safety precautions taken in our community’s medical field. So far, parts for about 3,800 face shields have been collected. Of course, this couldn’t have happened without contributions from generous people in our community, so we want to give another special thanks to JBS’s Jeff and Rachael Wilson.
