Today we remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Allied forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy during D-Day, one of the most pivotal operations of World War II.

More than 156,000 troops crossed the English Channel to begin the liberation of Western Europe from N**i occupation. Their bravery in the face of overwhelming odds helped change the course of history and secure the freedoms many enjoy today.
As we honor the heroes of D-Day, we also remember the thousands who gave their lives and the generations who have continued to defend liberty around the world.
