We took a trip to today!
It is so exciting seeing the shop come together! Adam is working very hard to get everything up and running. The expected opening day is May 6th!

We are so excited for this shop to open!

Adam will be opening a garment fabric store in Merle Hay Mall! Opening should be end of April/beginning of May!

We are also excited to be partnering to host classes in the space! Des Moines has desperately been needing a garment fabric store, especially with the closing of JoAnn.

Hello, I figured it was time to start a page to try and reach more people and spread the word about the store I’m opening. Located in Merle Hay Mall right under flix movie theater by the escalators! So let me introduce my phase one plan of the store.

1) carry fabrics and supplies focused on apparel and bag making. Our focus will be to carry as much dead-stock fabric and supplies as we can (More on what’s dead-stock in another post).

2) offer classes for fun nights of sewing and creating bags and clothing

3) offer access by rentals of industrial machines to help the home sewer or budding entrepreneur that may not be able to afford machines needed for harder projects. like barrack machine for reinforcement and belt loops.

The goal is to get the store open before May 1st! To start we may have limited inventory and may not meet all your needs but this is where YOU come in to help! I need your feedback and engagement to know what to get in the store! What do you want quick and easy access to beyond just fabric or is it a specific type of fabric? Also the more you support me and find to purchase the more I can build up inventory of other items more zipper option, buttons, trims, closures, etc.

So if you’re a maker or have always wanted to try making garments or know someone who is please share this page!
