Part 2: The Kitchen
The kitchen became another meaningful part of this project. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes when the spaces we use every day are working the way they should.

With the help of several incredible volunteers, we removed the sink and countertops, strengthened portions of the cabinetry, gave the existing sink a thorough refresh, and installed new countertops. We also replaced the cabinet hardware so everything opens and closes smoothly again.

It's easy to overlook the little things until they're not functioning properly. Seeing this kitchen become more functional, welcoming, and ready for everyday life was a rewarding step forward. We're grateful for everyone who gave their time, skills, and effort to help make it happen.

More project updates coming soon!

If I (Charles) had the ability to show you my heart, this project would probably communicate it best.

Recently, we had the opportunity to come alongside some longtime friends and help tackle a few projects around their home. Like many older homes, there were several things that had simply worn with time and needed some attention. What started as a conversation quickly turned into something much bigger than we ever expected.

Over the course of a month, we were able to raise more than $4,000 for materials, and an incredible group of volunteers stepped up to donate their time, skills, and energy. Watching people come together to serve others in such a practical way was truly inspiring.

Part One: Doors & Electrical

One of the first areas we focused on was improving several exterior doors throughout the home. We replaced the main front and rear entry doors, repaired and adjusted others that needed attention, and gave everything a fresh coat of paint to help refresh the home's appearance and functionality.

We also worked through the electrical devices throughout the house. Thanks to generous donations, every outlet and switch was replaced, giving our friends a safer, more reliable, and more comfortable home environment.

Projects like this remind me that serving others doesn't always require grand gestures. Sometimes it's simply showing up with willing hands, practical skills, and a heart to help. I'm incredibly grateful for every person who donated, volunteered, encouraged, and prayed throughout this project. This wasn't the work of one person—it was a community coming together to care for people.

Stay tuned for more....

We may be focusing more on carpentry, trim, and millwork these days, but we haven't left metal fabrication behind. Expanding into home renovations and home services was a natural step when you discover a passion for building and creating.

For more than 15 years, Charles has been making the world work. Now he gets to make it beautiful, too.

Whether you need custom carpentry, metal fabrication, repairs, or renovation work, we'd love to help bring your vision to life.

Give us a call and let's talk about your next project!

What a fun little project!

We recently had the opportunity to build this simple swing support for some longtime friends. Their grandson is turning one in just a few days, and they wanted to give him something he can enjoy for years to come.

We set 4x4 posts deep into the ground and built a sturdy gable-style frame designed to stand the test of time. Secured with fasteners throughout, this swing structure is solid, safe, and ready to make memories.

Projects like this remind us that sometimes the simplest builds become the most meaningful. ❤️

We recently had the incredible opportunity to spend time at REthreaded , where Charles was invited to teach a class on car care and basic maintenance for their staff.
It was such a meaningful way to serve and connect with our community, and we’re truly grateful for opportunities like this to share knowledge, encourage others, and invest in people in practical ways. Feeling very blessed to have the freedom to be part of work that makes a difference.

Welcome to Sunrise MWX — we’re so glad you’re here.

2025 was a year filled with discovery, growth, and new challenges. We began our journey in metal fabrication and vehicle upfitting, where we were blessed with early success and valuable experience. Toward the end of the year, we had the opportunity to participate in a renovation and buildout project for our home church — an experience that sparked a new passion and opened the door to a new direction.

As we stepped into 2026, we shifted our focus toward small renovation projects specializing in custom carpentry, trim work, and millwork. We’re excited to continue growing, creating, and serving our community through craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

More than anything, we value the relationships built along the way, and we hope you’ll become part of our growing family of customers turned friends. If you have an idea, project, or vision in mind, we’d love to connect and see what we can create together.

What a fast and busy couple of months it’s been!
This bathroom renovation was a special project for a family preparing to welcome an incoming parent into their home. We widened the doorway, replaced the vanity and fixtures, and added handicap-accessible accessories to create a space that is both safe and beautifully updated.
We’re grateful to help make homes more functional, comfortable, and welcoming for every stage of life.

Man—it’s been a minute since we’ve had progress to share, but this one was worth the wait! This shed-to-office conversion definitely kept us on our toes with one puzzle after another… but we pushed through and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

We transformed this space by adding insulation, drywall, a custom shelf + lighting feature, a mini-split system, and all the custom trim and millwork you see here. The homeowner went with a bold color-drench design, and we finished it off with a clean, durable laminate floor to pull it all together.
We’re excited to finally show you the finished product—check out the clip! 🎥

If you’d like more details about this project or want us to come take a look at your space, reach out anytime—we’d love to help bring your vision to life.

Big thanks to our friends J&L for trusting us with this project and allowing us to add it to our portfolio!

Well, I goofed up! I forgot to take some before pictures of this job we've taken on for some friends of ours. They have a small shed that they want converted into a usable space for an office. We started by adding blocking in for the future drywall and then moved on with laying in power from the house. We added a sub-panel on the exterior, as well as a disconnect for the 6K BTU mini split we are adding. The receptacles and lights are wired as well. Once our inspection is done, we should be good to finish this one off within the next week or so.

Thanks for checking it out!

Huge thanks to Titan Contracting, LLC Jacksonville-Saint Augustine for trusting us with a quick upgrade to their trailer! It was already headed back to us for some warranty work, so we took the opportunity to build a more weather-resistant enclosure to help extend the life of their pump and battery.

We modified a Buyers Products Company trailer tongue box to serve as the enclosure, adding improved protection along with extra storage. Using leftover materials, we also built a custom shelf—creating another layer of storage while protecting the components underneath.

Always happy to add value when the opportunity presents itself! 💪🔧
