Last week, we hosted our first-ever in-house Safety Summit for our industry partners! The day featured hands-on fire extinguisher training (including Purple K units, along with two other extinguishing mediums), plus an interactive classroom session covering lessons learned from incidents across the industry and roundtable discussions on best practices — tackling the everyday elements that impact both the field and the office.

A huge thank you to our attendees for showing up ready to learn and engage. Safety is a team effort, and events like this help keep our entire industry stronger and better prepared.

Improving gas infrastructure in Sterling, Colorado!

Centerline crews are working to replace more than 12,000 linear feet of 2-inch and 4-inch gas main, along with 223 individual services, as part of this large-scale project in eastern Colorado.

Replacing aging infrastructure is an important part of supporting safe, reliable gas systems for the long term. It’s also the kind of work where experience, coordination, and proactive communication make a real difference.

Supporting gas infrastructure improvements in Thornton, Colorado 👷🏗️

Centerline crews have been hard at work installing approximately 4,100 linear feet of IP steel gas main along Washington Street.

The team has been installing 12" steel pipeline, with flowfill and restoration following closely behind to help minimize road closures and reduce the impact on the traveling public.

Our team understands that successful projects take more than getting the installation done. Careful planning, clear communication, and keeping disruption to a minimum are all part of delivering reliable results from start to finish.

Careful planning, precision, and teamwork were key on a recent Centerline project in Cody, Wyoming.

The crew worked through tight utility easements across nine apartment backyards, where existing gas, water, sewer, electric, and fiber lines left very little room for excavation. To safely access the work areas, the team carefully removed and later restored fences, concrete, pavers, and deck sections while protecting the surrounding properties and utilities.

The project included installing a new 2-inch gas main and new electrical conduit in a joint trench, followed by individual services, hydro excavation at tie-in points and crossings, meter installation, pressure setting, and retiring the existing gas main.

By adapting quickly to the client’s standards, staying focused on safety, and keeping the project on schedule, the team earned positive feedback from Black Hills Energy and gained valuable experience along the way.
