Tool Room Technician
The purpose of this position is to provide in-house support to Production and Maintenance where parts/services are required. This includes all aspects of parts, kits, rebuilds, etc. and maintaining our parts management system.

Description:
• Work in a safe manner and use all required personal protective equipment.
• Always keep areas of work safe and clean. Follow LOTO procedures.
• Oversees the stocking of new parts, overall inventory, cycle counts, and daily transactions, and be able to source and order parts we need.
• Tracks all results for the Storeroom including stock movement and reorder points.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English.
• PC experience. Basic MS Office programs knowledge. JDE and Mapcon a plus.
• Confers with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information if needed. Ability to communicate effectively with peers, vendors, and with other inter-company plant personnel to expedite the acquisition of the parts needed.
• Utilizes and maintains computerized maintenance management systems and update daily.
• Controls inventory of spare parts, bill verification, shipping, etc.
• Works with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have good working knowledge of parts and systems to be able to source parts.
• Prior experience in purchasing MRO items and services, ability to interface with vendors and suppliers.
• Must be able to drive Company vehicle and have a valid drivers license.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical school training preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous related experience preferred, inventory background a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect parts/machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Pay Rate:
• $20.00/hour to $25.00/hour

Skilled Machine Operator

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Thermoformer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Start up machines and keep them running throughout the shift. Fill greasers, oilers, and silicone canisters as needed.
• Troubleshoot machine problems. Adjust machine settings (heats, pressures, guides, etc.), adjust hole burner as needed, shim and deburr dies, fix stacker clips, clear machine jam ups, etc. Perform some mold changes as needed.
• Check the daily schedule for machine assignments. Check the packaging on all formers for correctness and accuracy. Communicate changeovers to the Inspector/Packers. Assist in the making and stamping boxes, labeling bags.
• Complete paperwork: QC Check Sheet at the beginning of every shift and at changeovers, Reject Forms for all rejected raw and finished material, Production Sheet at the end of every shift.
• Perform and oversee general housekeeping and cleaning duties. See to the grinding of scrap parts as needed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
• Good mechanical skills and the ability to use tools to make machine adjustments, shim and deburr dies, and perform mold changes.
• Forklift Experience.
• Read and write English.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Forklift experience.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:
• The Machine Operator is on his/her feet throughout the day but is often required to move material using a forklift.
• Lifting, squatting, bending and climbing is required to assist in machine start-ups and troubleshooting.
• Fair mechanical skills are required to assist Set Up and Machine Operators in changeovers and startups.
• Able to lift 15-35 pounds at a time as well as positioning heavy machine parts such as hole burners, dies, and stacker plates.
