Ever wonder what our specialists are looking for during a crawlspace inspection?
Join Joe as he performs a foundation inspection on a home in Big Bear, CA with a raised foundation.

As you can see it’s a bit of a tight squeeze for Joe… but he was able to crawl around and inspect the entire foundation!

How would you go about fixing those footing cracks?🤔

Stabilizing a sinking Oceanside, CA home🏚️

Koehn and crew installed two new construction helical piles and tied them into these new grade beams on each side of this home where the add-on connects to the original structure.

Here the crew is mixing two bags of concrete at a time and pouring directly into each location.

Ultimately, the entire add-on had been stabilized by another foundation repair contractor, but now the original structure was beginning to settle exactly where it met the are-on…

Now regardless of what happens with the expansive clay soils at the surface, this area of the home won’t sink or settle again!

This was an our first FPV drone flight with the new GoPro Mission 1 Pro.. how’s the quality?🤔

We Lift Homes🏚️😎🤘🏽
Some of our favorite recent foundation repair projects for homeowners in Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada.

Each of these projects were vastly different, but they all shared something in common. The home’s foundation was settling or sinking into the ground.

This settling created big issues for many of the homeowners.

From cracks on the inside and out..

Floor that felt like they sloped..

Doors or windows that were sticking..

Chimneys leaning or pulling away..

Retaining walls failing..

And the list goes on.

Not only did we lift these homes, but more importantly we stabilized them from continued settlement.

Have you ever seen a home being lifted like this?

We Lift Homes💪🏽🏚️
Yesterday was lifting day for Ryan and his crew at their hillside project in San Clemente!

This home sank or settled 6 inches and our crews lifted and stabilized it with helical piles!

How many inches of lift do you think we were able to recover?🤔

I think this song is this San Clemente home’s theme song💪🏽

Each year we’ll lift several hundred homes just like this one..

Well, not exactly like this one because this home had settled 16 inches, and our average lift is probably closer to about 3 inches in Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada.

For the most part, the signs and symptoms of a settling or sinking foundation look the same in SoCal, AZ, and NV… and they’re listed below:

✔️ Sloping Floors
✔️ Sticking doors & windows
✔️ Recurring Drywall cracks (especially in corners of door/window frames)
✔️ Stucco cracks
✔️ Leaning chimneys
✔️ Ceiling cracks
✔️ Floor cracks
✔️ Footing cracks

Now, these signs don’t necessarily mean a home’s foundation has been compromised… but seeing more than one of these signs at the same time probably means you should check out that foundation your home sits on.

Have you ever seen or dealt with any of these signs or symptoms of a settling foundation?🤔

Saving this Laguna Niguel backyard💪🏽🏚️
Today we visited Joe and his crew as they began installing their 9 helical tieback anchors for phase two of this project in Laguna to save this backyard, pool, and deck!

These particular helical tieback anchors weren’t finding viable or competent load-bearing soils until almost 60 feet behind the core drilling locations and with each helical section being 5’ long it was taking the crew quite a few extensions!

Once the tiebacks are installed the crew will throw up some whaler beams to spread the load across this concrete retaining wall and tension the system to prevent and future movement towards the slop it all sits on!
