Today’s work is the refurbishment of the center pin bores on a John Deere 644L wheel loader. We’re using Bore Repair Systems’ model BRS2c system which features full pass-through design gearboxes for both the MIG borewelder as well as the linebore drive. (Borewelder is the BOA-408i / Boring bar is the BOA-C45 both USA designed & built) The second video illustrates how on many jobs the boring bar drive may be left mounted while the bore welder may be set up between bores on one of the other supports. The patented BOA-408i also has the unique ability to weld out of either end of the drive…a distinct advantage over borewelders without this desirable feature.
