Drilling deep shafts just feet from cars moving at 70 mph takes total focus. Right now, our crews are actively at work across the Illinois Tollway delivering critical foundation and electrical upgrades across major corridors.

From drilling shafts for new bridge structures and overhead gantries to wiring up Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and roadway lighting, our crews manage the entire footprint directly. Because we self-perform both the civil foundations and the electrical infrastructure, we eliminate subcontractor handoffs, keep timelines tight, and maintain strict safety zones alongside live traffic.

Our SoCal teams recently gathered at The Annex, the state-of-the-art facility at the IBEW Local 11 and Los Angeles NECA Electrical Training Institute, for specialized electrical safety training.

Led by our Corporate Energy Marshall, the session focused on advanced risk mitigation protocols. Our electricians refined their hands-on skills in conducting Electric Shock and Arc Flash Risk Assessments to consistently establish an Electrically Safe Work Condition across all project operations.

The Annex provided the ideal environment for this technical training. Special thanks to Safety Director Allen Sloan, along with our partners at IBEW Local 11 and LA NECA, for hosting our team and continuing to raise the bar for safety across the trade.

Delivering reliable power to high-demand data centers requires early coordination, technical discipline, and rapid field ex*****on.

On a recent power delivery project supporting a regional data center, our crews executed an extensive foundations and civil scope under a fast-track schedule. By integrating our VDC and prefabrication groups directly into the early design phase, we resolved layout and constructability challenges well before equipment mobilized to the site.

Executing across transmission, substation, and underground utility scopes, our crews installed 23 transmission line foundations, nearly 300 substation drilled shafts up to 9 feet in diameter and 60 feet deep, and pre-engineered duct bank runs, all while managing strict mass concrete thermal specifications.

From early 3D modeling to final site placement, seamless cross-divisional collaboration ensured safe, predictable ex*****on on a demanding timeline.

Working at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) means operating under some of the tightest flight windows and security constraints in the country.

On an active airfield right outside the nation’s capital, there is zero room for delays. Our crews execute critical electrical, lighting, and underground utility upgrades during narrow overnight work windows, returning active runways and taxiways back to airport operations before the morning rush. It takes rapid deployment, strict coordination, and absolute focus on the tarmac to pull off these high-stakes turnarounds night after night.

Between Stafford and Fredericksburg, Virginia, our crews are replacing foundations across a 12-mile 230kV/115kV transmission corridor for the local utility.

Working along the Interstate 95 corridor and through sensitive wetlands, our crews deployed low-clearance drill rigs to install foundations directly under active overhead lines, avoiding additional power outages. While mobilized in the area, our teams also completed three nearby substation projects under our utility agreement.

In total, the scope includes 237 drilled shaft foundations and over 8,000 cubic yards of concrete poured across varying ground conditions. With major milestones complete, our crews are prepping to return this fall to wrap up the remaining foundations.

Our crews are deploying remotely operated wireless shackles to install trench boxes, completely removing the legacy requirement for workers to enter unshored excavations to manually detach rigging lines.

The system features a built-in safety cutoff that prevents release if the load exceeds 110 pounds, eliminating the risk of accidental drops, pinch points, and struck-by hazards. By letting operators release rigging safely from a distance, we protect our field teams while shaving 30 minutes of crew time off every single excavation.
