Reliable Shipyard Wireless Tank Level Monitoring

When a California shipyard needed reliable level monitoring of their floating dry dock ballast tanks, they turned to Flowline. The dry docks have been decommissioned and are awaiting their eventual disassembly and removal from the shipyard. The yard foreman contacted Flowline and said, “I’ve got eight ballast tanks that need level measurement with pump control to mitigate the leaks. I also want the level data and alarm notifications pushed to my maintenance team’s phones.” For these reasons, Flowline suggested our LR80 radar sensor, LC52 level controller and HB01 level monitor that transmits wireless data to our LevelTap app and levelhub.io website. Reliable Cooling Tower Sump Level Measurement

When a Canadian hospital needed reliable level measurement of their cooling tower sumps, they turned to Flowline. The rooftop tower ran dry a few times and maintenance traced the problem back to corroded conductance level switch electrodes. Aerospace Nitric Acid Tank Radar Level Measurement

When a Midwest metal parts manufacturing and finishing firm needed reliable level measurement of their nitric acid bulk tank, they turned to Flowline. The company uses nitric acid for parts cleaning and metal finishing processes such as etching. Nitric is extremely corrosive, highly vaporous and notorious for shortening the life of instrumentation and fluid handling equipment with malice. Waste Oil Reclamation Tank Level Measurement

When America’s largest retailer, needed reliable level measurement of their waste cooking oil tanks, they turned to Flowline. That was fifteen years ago and thousands of DL24 ultrasonic sensors were deployed. Today we suggest LR80 radar sensor for this application. Unlike ultrasonic, radar is not affected by the reflective surface conditions of the media. Depending on the food type served, some tanks contain significant foam, grease globules and food particles, that over time, become floating islands sitting atop the waste oil. When extreme, this can attenuate an ultrasonic sensor and require the tank to be manually cleaned. Radar works under all such conditions and is maintenance free. Coating Mixing Tank Radar Level Measurement

When a Northeast manufacturer of polyurethane coatings needed reliable level measurement of their production tanks, they turned to Flowline.
