Did you know there is a right way & wrong way to install your air filter? 🤯👇
It seems like a tiny detail, but that little arrow printed on the side of your HVAC filter is an important details that sometimes get's missed. It shows the exact direction the air should be passing through the filter. The filter was engineered with additional structural reinforcement to withstand the force of the air pushing against it.. When you flip it the wrong way, it's not the end of the world but there is the potential of the filter not catching as much dirt as it should, which can lead to damage to internal components, or it could be pulled into the blower wheel and cause more damage.
How to check yours right now: 1️⃣ If your filter is next to your furnace: Point the arrow toward the furnace unit. 2️⃣ If it’s in a ceiling or wall return grille: Point the arrow into the wall/duct.
It only takes a few seconds to verify, but it can prevent unnecessary damage, extending the life of your AC and keep your home much more comfortable this summer!
