Think your roof is in good shape?

Sometimes the real damage isn’t visible from the ground. Once you’re up there, the signs can be obvious 😂.

If it’s been a while since your roof was checked, it might be time for a closer.

Most people don’t realize this… a “30-year” shingle roof rarely makes it 30 years.

So how do you know when it’s time to replace it?

One of the easiest signs to spot, no ladder, no tools, is this:

👉 Look for the fiberglass layer starting to show through your shingles.
When shingles wear out, the protective granules fade away, and you’ll start seeing that lighter, almost shiny fiberglass underneath.

Now here’s the key difference:
• Normal wear = shows up in larger, consistent areas
• Hail damage = shows up as scattered, isolated impact spots

There are plenty of ways to evaluate a roof, but this is one of the simplest things anyone can catch just by looking up.

If you’re seeing this on your roof, it might be time to start planning for a replacement before leaks show up
