#2: Stop forgetting to change my filter. 😮‍💨

A dirty filter restricts airflow, making your A/C work harder than it should.

❌ Less airflow
💰 Higher energy bills
🔧 More wear & tear = More repairs

Change your filter every 1–3 months. If you have a 1" filter, it will likely need to be changed more often—especially if you have pets, allergies, or a dusty home.

It's one of the easiest ways to help your A/C stay happy all summer. ☀️

🚫 3 Things Your A/C Wishes You'd Stop Doing...

#1: Letting the outdoor unit get covered in dirt, grass, and debris.

A dirty condenser can't get rid of heat as efficiently, which means your A/C has to work harder to keep your home cool.

A few reminders:
✔️ Turn the power off first.
✔️ Use a regular garden hose (not a pressure washer).
✔️ Keep plants and weeds at least 2 feet away.

🥵 Michigan has officially decided we're skipping "nice weather" and heading straight for the surface of the sun.

Before the heat wave arrives, do your air conditioner (and yourself) a favor:

✅**CHANGE YOUR AIR FILTER.** Seriously. If you can't remember the last time you changed it...it's probably time.

✅ Give your outdoor AC unit a quick cleanup. Trim back weeds, remove leaves, and spray down your outdoor AC condenser with the hose to remove cottonwood or debris.

✅ Check that furniture, rugs, and curtains aren't blocking your supply vents. Your AC can't cool a room if it's fighting your couch.

✅ If your thermostat uses batteries, swap them out now instead of discovering they're dead when it's 92° inside.

✅ Keep blinds and curtains closed during the hottest part of the day. Your AC will thank you (and so will your electric bill).

🐶 And for our four-legged family members...keep fresh water available and save the long walks for early morning or later in the evening. During the hottest part of the day, quick potty breaks and right back inside!
