One of my favorite things about this business? The stories. 💛
Almost every piece we make has one — and they never stop moving me.
Recently, Kim from Omaha, NE sent us these beautiful photos of her "I Love You" sign (in American Sign Language) displayed in a central spot in her backyard. When she shared the story behind it, it stopped me in my tracks. Her spouse was a counselor for the deaf, and their entire family grew up using this sign as a daily expression of love. 🤟
One sentence. One photo. And yet it says everything about the values that shaped their family.
It got me thinking… I'm 52 years old, and I still tell my grown sons and daughter that I love them every single time we talk. Some folks might think that's odd or un-manly — but they say it right back without hesitation, even when they're standing in a crowd of their friends. And honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way. ❤️
I genuinely can't count the number of stories we've been blessed to hear from customers over the years. Every sign, every piece of hardware, every custom creation seems to carry a memory, a person, or a moment behind it. (If we ever bring on a full-time customer service person, "must love hearing stories" is going right at the top of the job description! 😄)
Thank you, Kim, for trusting us with a piece of your family's story — and for letting us be a small part of something so meaningful.
If you have a story behind your Madison Iron and Wood piece, we'd love to hear it. Drop it in the comments or send us a message — these are the moments that make what we do so much more than just metal and wood.
