I just went to the cemetery to clean my parents bronze marker and especially on my moms side of the marker there was a lot of white hard water residue all over the bronze and the granite. We used this stuff from Lowe’s that is a vinegar solution for cleaning hard water from glass windows. I sprayed on the vinegar and let it sit and then scrubbed it with a soft bristle brush and then repeated that a few times letting the vinegar sit for a few minutes each time. I rinsed that off with water and dried it and then sprayed the marker with WD40 and then rubbed that in with a soft cloth. The marker looked like new when I was done. Look at the before and after pictures.
