The Veterans for Tomorrow building (also know as the Heaton & Cowing Mill) provides twenty affordable one-bedroom residences for homeless and disabled veterans.

This rehabilitation focused on preserving the building’s historic fabric—from the original brick and stone exterior to the character that has defined the structure since 1845—while creating safe, functional housing for the future.

Projects like this remind us that preservation can be about more than architecture. It can also be about community.
