We're proud to share that our design work in modular FRP data centers has been named a finalist in the Manufacturing Category of the ACMA Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE).

Working with Northstar Technologies Group, our team provided structural engineering services for innovative modular data center systems featuring lightweight, durable, and corrosion-resistant FRP structural components. These scalable solutions were designed for rapid deployment, long-term reliability, and high-performance operation in demanding environments.

It is an honor to be recognized as part of an outstanding team and we are looking forward to the ACE Awards at CAMX in Atlanta next month!

Final details are coming together at the Saint Juan Diego Pilgrim House in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Our team was on site recently to observe the installation of the building's impressive stone cornices, another milestone as this remarkable project nears completion.

Frost Engineering & Consulting provided delegated design services for the facility, located on the grounds of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Designed by Duncan G. Stroik, the six-story classical masonry building will serve as a retreat house and conference center, while also housing a convent and chapel. Once complete, it will help support the Shrine's mission of welcoming more than 100,000 pilgrims annually.

We're excited to see this beautiful project take its final shape.

We're honored to share that our work in fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) residential building systems has been named a finalist for the Infinite Possibility for Market Growth Award in this year's Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE), presented by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA). The winners will be recognized this September at CAMX – The Composites and Advanced Materials Expo.

Frost Engineering & Consulting led the structural design of more than a dozen coastal residential projects, including a custom home exceeding 10,000 square feet. These projects demonstrate how FRP can be seamlessly integrated with traditional building materials while delivering exceptional corrosion resistance, hurricane resilience, and thermal performance.

This recognition highlights the growing potential of FRP composites to transform residential construction and create more resilient structures in challenging environments.

The Frost team recently visited the job site of the new Central Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters (CMRCC) Training Center in Warsaw, Indiana, to see construction progress firsthand.

Designed to support apprenticeship programs and hands-on skilled trades training, the facility will feature 30,000 square feet of shop space and 15,000 square feet of classroom and office space. With an estimated construction cost of $15 million, the new training center will provide a modern, state-of-the-art learning environment for the next generation of carpenters and skilled trades professionals.

We're excited to share that Kevin Q. Walsh, PhD, PE, SE, Principal at Frost Engineering & Consulting, has been named the recipient of the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) Academic Pioneer Award. He will be formally recognized at the 2026 Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) in Atlanta this September.

In addition to his leadership role at Frost, Kevin serves on the engineering faculty at the University of Notre Dame, where he is actively involved in teaching and research. His work has helped advance the understanding and application of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites in structural engineering.

Frost is one of the only structural engineering firms worldwide with extensive experience designing and specifying load-bearing pultruded FRP structures, completing more than 200 FRP projects across industrial facilities, data centers, residential building systems, bridges, deep foundation piles, and experimental research initiatives.

This recognition reflects a longstanding commitment to advancing FRP technology and developing stronger, more durable, and more resilient infrastructure.

Congratulations, Kevin, on this well-deserved honor.

In Santa Fe, New Mexico, we were excited this week to see firsthand progress at the new Georgia O'Keeffe Museum.

The Frost team provided the structural design for a unique feature of the project: a sculptural ceiling installation constructed from composite materials and supported by cold-formed steel framing. We're honored to play a role in bringing this innovative architectural vision to life and look forward to seeing the project continue to take shape.

A look at the final result of one of our projects - an addition to a church in Holland, Michigan.

When expanding an existing building, structural engineers help assess the original structure and ensuring the new addition is safe, efficient, and seamlessly connected to the existing building while meeting current code requirements. It's rewarding to see this project completed and in use by the community.

Last week, members of the Frost team attended the Annual South Bend Masonry Education Day, an event focused on advancing knowledge and best practices in masonry design and construction.

The program covered topics ranging from adhered masonry wall systems and concrete masonry design to structural, fire, acoustic, and energy performance considerations. Attendees also explored the wide variety of masonry products available and learned from real-world jobsite troubleshooting examples. A hands-on brick and block laying session provided valuable insight into the construction process, helping bridge the gap between design and ex*****on.

We appreciate the opportunity to continue learning and strengthening our expertise in designing high-performance masonry structures.
