Dyco began as a tool and die shop in a modest three-car garage on the Dye family homestead. In 1967, outgrowing the three-car garage, a move was made to a 2,500 square foot building in Alvordton, OH. Again in 1971, growth brought the business to its current location, a newly built 5,000 square foot building, and its formally incorporated company. As the tool and die business continual grew someone

asked the question, “You built the die, can you run it?” and this is where the business took off. Always looking at technology, automation, and growth, in 2019 Dyco added a 6kw fully automated fiber laser and in 2023 finished its second expansion in less than 5 years by adding 10,000 square feet and upgrading to 2 – 20kw fiber lasers. Now residing at just under 50,000 square feet Dyco has grown from building dies to offering laser cutting, press brake bending, welding, and its foundation, stamping.

We are proud to recognize this year’s recipients of the Dyco Manufacturing Workforce Scholarship, awarded to graduating seniors who have chosen to enter the workforce and pursue skilled careers after high school.
