Spring tip: Replacing siding won't fix it.
We're seeing a lot of failed siding right now in Moscow
and Pullman homes β and most of the time, the siding
itself isn't the issue. It's a downstream symptom of a
water management failure somewhere above it.
Common culprits:
β Missing or improperly installed flashing
β Clogged, undersized, or poorly pitched gutters
β Downspouts that dump at the foundation
β Soil grading that slopes toward the house
Replacing siding without fixing the cause is expensive
and temporary. Within a few years, the new siding fails
in the same spot β and you're paying for it twice.
If you've got localized siding damage, the smart move is
diagnosing the water source first β then doing siding,
flashing, and gutter work together so the fix actually
holds.
We'd rather help you do it once, right.
