Hilton has officially completed its modernization of the iconic Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus, one of Türkiye’s most recognizable hospitality assets and the oldest operational Hilton hotel outside of the Americas. The project comprised the phased renovation of guestrooms and suites, event and public spaces, dining facilities, and building systems, as well as the preservation and accentuation of hotel’s historic architectural identity.

Hill International provided project management services for the renovation, helping deliver the upgrades while maintaining operations throughout construction. Congratulations to Hilton, our project management team, and everyone else involved in the project!

The Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, is an iconic hotel in Spain’s capital. After acquiring the historic property, originally built in 1910, Mandarin Oriental and Olayan Group undertook a project to refurbish the hotel. The project comprised a variety of upgrades, including the construction of 47 new suites and an underground spa, structural reinforcements, and a complete fit-out.

After conducting technical due diligence services, Hill provided design and project management services for the refurbishment. With thorough coordination, the Hill team helped our client deliver superior building performance and an improved guest experience in line with Mandarin Oriental’s brand standards while preserving the hotel’s heritage and historic character.

Hill International is 50, and we're celebrating 50 of the projects that have helped define our legacy and continue to shape our future. This week's project is the Red Lion Energy Center, an innovative energy facility in New Castle, DE. The power plant produces 23 megawatts of reliable power for Delmarva Electric with Bloom Box technology, comprising natural gas-powered fuel cells. Hill International provided pre‑construction and construction management services to support the project’s accelerated nine‑month engineering, procurement, and construction schedule.

The project received ENR MidAtlantic's 2014 Best Project Award in the Energy/Industrial category.
