We're currently hiring a Laborer to join our crew!

What you'll be doing:
✔️ Operating equipment such as band saws, chop saws, ironworkers, grinders, and other shop tools
✔️ Loading and unloading steel trucks and customer vehicles
✔️ Stocking steel in racks
✔️ Pulling and cutting material to size for orders
✔️ Assisting our fabrication departments as needed

What we're looking for:
🔹 Ability to read a tape measure
🔹 Experience using power tools
🔹 Dependable, hardworking attitude
🔹 Safety-minded team player
🔹 Someone looking for a long-term opportunity with a company that values its employees

👨‍🏭Today we’re at Mount Pleasant High School for the Mid MichiganCareer & Recruitment Expo!

Events like this are a great way for students to see the many opportunities available after high school. We’re here representing the steel trades, showing students what a career in the skilled trades can look like and how they can get started after graduation.

From hands-on skills to real career pathways, it’s exciting to talk with students about the possibilities that exist beyond the classroom!

✨️Some moments deserve more than a simple thank you.

After decades of dedication to Bill’s Custom Fab, Scott and Michelle are closing an incredible chapter. Scott, Bill’s trusted right hand for more than 30 years, is officially setting aside the tools and embracing a well-earned life of slower mornings and fishing lines. Michelle, BCF’s co-founder, helped shape the very foundation of this company with vision, grit, and heart.

We had the honor of celebrating both of them at a shop lunch yesterday, and it was filled with gratitude, stories, and plenty of emotion. Their impact runs far deeper than job titles. They built relationships, set standards, and helped create the culture that makes Bill’s Custom Fab what it is today.

The space they leave behind cannot truly be filled, but their influence will always remain. Thank you, Scott and Michelle, for everything you’ve given. Your legacy is woven into the fabric of BCF, and we wish you nothing but happiness in the chapters ahead 💙

🚧 Big Milestone Today! 🚧

Today, our crew laid the first piece of steel for the brand-new Event Center at MidMichigan College — and we couldn’t be more excited!

This project is an incredible opportunity, and we’re truly honored that Mid Michigan College has trusted Bill’s Custom Fab to help bring their vision to life. Being part of a project that will serve students, families, and our community for years to come is something we’re extremely proud of.

A huge thank-you to Clark Construction Company and MidMichigan College for choosing us. We’re looking forward to every step of this build and are thrilled to help create a new piece of the college’s history.

Here’s to strong foundations and an exciting future! 🔩🏗️💙

A huge milestone for Mid Michigan College! 🚧✨ Today, the very first steel was set in place for our new Event Center—a space designed to bring people together, support local growth, and serve as a hub for community connection.

When complete, the Event Center will host everything from athletics events and student activities to community gatherings, conferences, trainings, and regional celebrations. It’s a project built with our community and for our community, and seeing the structure begin to rise is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together.

We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support that has made this vision possible. As the steel goes up, so does our excitement for all the memories, opportunities, and partnerships that will take shape here at Mid. Big things are ahead—thank you for being part of the journey! 💙🏗️

🚐🐻✈️ Bear Force One has landed!

Today our trusty Plungester, Bear Force One, was officially handed off to its new rightful owners — the South Dakota Special Olympics team! ✨

We met up in Wisconsin for the handoff, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect moment. From Michigan ➡️ Wisconsin ➡️ South Dakota, this little bear has had quite the journey already!

We know Bear Force One is in the best hands and can’t wait to see all the adventures to come. 💙
