1) WHATS THE DIFFERENCE IN ASSISTED DIY VS. DIY ALONE?
(With diy alone you’re often left on your own… if you unknowingly install a system that maybe got damaged during shipping, you’re responsible for figuring out what’s wrong with it, and most of the time need a tech to verify the issue… that’s even if you can get one. Lots of issues from diy are from botched installations, and problems normally found during the nitrogen test, such as slow leaks. These sometimes don’t present themselves until months later, and you’re responsible to figure out the problem, and pay for repairs and refrigerant, because if you’re not licensed, you can’t even buy it!
GWIN comes with a tech upfront that’s included in the purchase. You do the installation, and if any system issues are found we pay for those repairs. The only thing you’re on the hook for is any leaks or install issues found, but once the tech is done and he says it’s good… if something leaks after that, it’s on us and we pay for it. That coverage last for one year! That’s a pretty good deal for a self install system)
2) HOW DOES ASSISTED DIY & GETTING A TECH WORK?
(You buy the system from us, dealing with the brand directly. This eliminates lots of issues and gives us full control of resolving issues for our customers. You do the full install, and get full warranty coverage, no hidden fine print. Once installed, you call us when you’re ready and we schedule the tech, it’s that easy.)
3) DO YOU HAVE A TECH IN MY AREA & WHAT IF YOU CAN’T FIND ONE?
(We started in some of the most remote zip codes in the four corners of the US… In most cases we already have systems, and techs in your area. But… we have the “GWIN Tech Guarantee Or It’s Free” step 1- we most likely already have a tech or we will add a new local GWIN TECH. 2- We have a tech nearby that we will pay to drive to you. 3- if those fail we will fly a tech to you… if none of those has worked out in a 30 day period we will refund your money, and you keep the system free, that’s the GWIN tech guarantee.)
4) DO YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF LABOR WARRANTY?
(Yes, we have the 1yr bumper to bumper labor and refrigerant warranty. We cover parts damage, equipment issues, & the tech work for one year. So if the tech missed a leak and your system leaked down moths after the tech completed the startup, we will pay him to come find the leak, fix it, and recharge the system. No charge to you. The only part you are ever on the hook for, are any leaks before the initial startup, since this is diy. We do limit these with our flare-less easy connect fittings. It would be unusual for them to leak. We try to make this as fool proof as possible.)
5) WHEN IT COMES TO WARRANTY WILL A TECH SERVICE IT?
(Adding the tech back in the beginning helps to assure that you’ll have a tech to come service it later. In most cases, this will be the same tech that will come service it in the future. The company already has your address and system in their records.)
6) HOW DOES GWIN COMPARE IN PRICE TO OTHER DIY BRANDS?
(Compared to the big name DIY brand we are comparable in price, especially the multi-zone. With GWIN you get more warranty, better assurance on parts, a -22 operating system vs a -13 operating system, and you get a tech to make sure everything is right. That’s something you should want when you’re spending that kind of money for a multi-zone.)
7) HOW DOES GWIN INSTALLATION COMPARE TO OTHER DIY INSTALLATION?
(If you’ve seen one ductless mini split install you’ve pretty much seen them all. It basically comes down to how you do the line sets. Are they pre-charged fixed lengths, are they pre-flared fixed lengths, are you going to cut and flare them, maybe even try to braze them? Or cut them to length like a professional, use GWIN’s flare-less easy connect fittings, and have a professional looking, and working install? That truly is basically it.)
8) ARE YOU ALL ABLE TO HELP ME SIZE MY SYSTEM?
(Who you see in this video are who you’ll be talking to if you call in, or hop on chats from the website. Each one is knowledgeable, and will help you figure out exactly what you need with no hesitation. It’s what they enjoy doing, and are passionate about.
9) WHAT ARE PARTS WARRANTY & AVAILABILITY LIKE?
